Breyerfest 2017

It's been a while since I actually wrote a post. And no one will see it. It's mine. I like that. Breyerfest is as shiny and golden as ever, with the celebration horse being a chestnut Marwari, and uber cute. No dapples, but that's OK since the  real horse has none, and the thing that just makes me melt? Those ears! They are so stinkin cute! I adore him and have already named him "Fancy Pants."

A few of the Special Runs have been revealed and, let me tell ya, they are dilicous! A dappled buckskin, a bay ron tobiano, and a black rabicano.... they take yumminess to a whole new level:

Saffron

Vahana

Kaaylee

My favorite is (respectively) Vahana. They all adhere well to the theme of India. Kaaylee means black in Hindi, Saffron is obvious, and Vahana means 'to pull' in Hindi. I am thrilled by the addition of another rabicano to the Breyer line, the last one being Polaris, the 2007 tour model:
I'm kind of on the fence aabout Kaaylee, though. I adore her color, I trust Brigette Eberl's talent as a sculptor, but I'm not sold on the mold. But the more I look at her the more I like her, and I am sure I will like her a lot in person. But I like her overall. And I've been eyeing a Yasmin. And as I was typing this she grew on me considerably. And now I'm obsessing over her. Story of my life.
